Maintenance Assistant (Production Metalworker V)

Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks under direction and assist other maintenance personnel performing repair tasks on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and/or electronic components.
Employees will not be expected to provide certain tools for their own use, except for steel-toed shoes and clothing. Requirements to be considered for position:

Job Accommodations: Considered on an individual basis. Physical Demands: This work is defined in the heavy strength factor of physical demands. It requires the ability to push/pull large, heavy items and to exert considerable force on wrenches and levers. Lifting and carrying is usually involved with tools and repair parts. Depending upon the work flow, this may encumber handling items up to 100 times per day. Standing and walking occur continuously throughout the course of a work day. Some intermittent sitting may occur when operating the forklift, completing paperwork, or at lunch break.
